Big Adolph Lepre is doing his thing again with a Big Money Blackjack Tournament to be held at Resorts Casino Tunica Jan. 24-25.
Adolph, director of table games and player development, has a long history in Tunica of implementing big cash games much to the enjoyment of his many followers. This will be his first at Resorts where he has run Sunday tournaments for several months but of a smaller variety.
"We are ready now for a larger event," said Lepre. "Tournament followers have been asking me since I joined Resorts when we would be staging a larger cash event and now it is happening."
The event offers 50 percent of the cash received from buy-ins and rebuys for first place which can be in five figures if there is a solid turnout. Second place pays 25 percent of the cash pool, third pays 15 percent and fourth nets 10 percent, with table promo chips being awarded for the last three spots on the final table.
Under the format, one player from each table wins with the most chips and advances to the semifinal round. There will also be a wild card drawn for a seat on the final table.
Registration is Friday, Jan. 24 from 5-8 p.m. and the tournament starts that evening at 8 and continues Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
There is a late registration period also on Saturday from 8-10 a.m.
